TOPICS OF THE CONFERENCE

INVITED LECTURERS

CONFERENCE FORMAT

In parallel with plenary sessions, paper sessions will be held in two formats.

Research Papers in Platform Presentations

Each day will start with plenary sessions which will include two introductory lectures (45 minutes) with discussion. The research papers will be presented in 10-minute presentations followed by 5-minutes discussions.

Contributors are asked to prepare an abstract for the abstract book, an oral presentation using slide or transparency projection, and optionally, a full paper to be considered for publication in Conference proceedings.

Descriptive Papers in Thematic Poster Sessions

These papers will be presented in "Thematic Poster Sessions". This format encourages an active role of the participants and more time for discussion. Contributors are asked to prepare an abstract for the abstract book, a poster (width x height 1.5 x1.0 m) summarizing the key issues to be displayed during the sessions, a highly condensed oral presentation not exceeding 3 minutes and optionally, a full paper to be considered for publication in Conference Proceedings. Contributors and participants will meet in theme - related two - hour sessions. These sessions include 30 minutes to inspect the posters, another 45 minutes for oral summaries and 45 minutes to discuss issues common to the posters presented. Each session will be chaired by a moderator who will direct the discussion by inviting the participants to bring forward their questions and to share experiences pertinent to the theme.
